Plaitford
The village of Plaitford, in which we are situated, has part
of its area within the New Forest Site of Special Scientific
Interest. The Church of St Peter's dates back to the 13th century
and Plaitford Common was used as a racecourse in the 1800's.
"The Shoe Inn" Public House stands on the site of
an old turn pike, and has fine ales. |
